Here we go...

So, I just got back from lunch and went to check my yahoo mail. As I got into the site, yahoo news had the Mass. Gay couple calling it splits. I looked at the picture and just clicked out in disgust. I then went to my e-mail and looked at 365gay.com, they also had the news as a headline. I went to Boston Herald, although it is bugging me, I wanted to read about it. And then, there it was, the reason why I was bent out of shape:
Kris Mineau, president of the Massachusetts Family Institute, a conservative public policy group that fought to repeal gay marriage, pounced on news of the Goodridges’ split.

“Divorce is a very painful issue, but I also can’t help but reflect on the pain this couple has caused on the commonwealth and the nation to redefine marriage. And now they’re getting divorced? It doesn’t make a lot of sense,” Mineau said.

“Obviously, they don’t hold the institution in very high esteem.”
I was very active for the cause and I can't help but seriously feel deflated by these two. I know, I know shit happens, it happens in the hetero world all the time, but when we are fighting for something like this, it is best that they make every effort to hang in there until it is legalized for the MAJORITY. They only manage to add fuel to the fire.

On a different note. Have you ever heard about those couples that have been together forever and state they don't want to get married because they know that would mess up the relationship? Like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Well, this article was stating that these lesbians were together over a decade before getting hitched. Now look, two years later, and it is splits ville.

Yeah, it does look bad but you know what -- damned if I'd stay in a relationship just to appease the heteros
